I need help setting up my sister's home sound system. She has a Comcast cable box, Sony TV, Sony amplifier and Samsung Blu-Ray. I know nothing about setting up these things and need help wiring it up. I tried attaching a photo of the backs of all of the components involved with no luck. Can someone please help?

We will need a lot more info to get you an exact answer. Make/Model numbers would be helpful.
In general, you want to connect outputs from your sources(Cable box, BluRay, etc) to inputs on the Amplifier. Then connect the video out of the amp to a video in on the TV(This could be by HDMI cable), and Audio out from the amplifier to the speakers.

This is a really simple setup. All you have to do is use HDMI cables to go from the HDMI outputs of the BluRay, and Cable box(s) to the HDMI inputs on the Receiver/Amplifier. Then use another HDMI cable to go from the HDMI output of the receiver/amplifier to the HDMI input of the TV.. The only other connections are from the receiver/amplifier to the speakers. Use the associated remote to control the individual components( TV remote for the tv, receiver remote for the receiver, cable remote for the cable box(s), and bluray remote for the bluray)
