Home theater speakers for Music

Hi!

I have 3 speakers + 1 subwoofer left from an "old" Home Theater system.
I want to use them mainly for a small studio for playing music. The problem is that i only have the speakers and not the amplifier (the dog ate the cables)

My question is: what is the best amp to use with those speakers (power W)

According to the specs i have 3 speakers with 4 Ω, Rated Input Power 70 W, Max. Input Power 140 W and the subwoofer has 3 Ω, Rated Input Power 150W, Max. Input Power 300W.
I was thinking in buying a amplifier with 4 Ohms with 2 x 350W (i can only find 2 channel amps not 4 so i was thinking in connecting them in series). Will this be enough or is it too much? The fact that the subwoofer has 3 Ω will it be bad for the system? i'm totally lost...

The room has around 16sqm (4x4 square meters) and will have max 5 people in it

If you want to use the sub-woofer, you'll need a receiver, not just a (stereo) amplifier. The woofer is not just a separate channel, it has audio-processing built in as well.

Every (most?) modern AV receiver can support Left/Right/Center/Subwooker configuration, and you can add later back speakers (for surround) as well. use your favorite search engine / online store for "5.1 channel receiver", and stay away from "home theaters in a box" solutions.

Any 5 channel amplifier should work. Don't buy anything to expensive

You can not put amps in "series". Will go boom.
If you want to set up a 3.1 system with a passive subwoofer then you will need 3 channels for the left center right front speakers and another .1 channel amp for the subwoofer.
If you use an AV receiver you would still need an additional amp for the subwoofer since they all assume you will use a self powered sub. HTS systems rarely do that.
I would also not assume that the power ratings are in any way accurate. The impedance rating are probably correct.
It doesn't make sense to spend any real money on amps for those speakers so maybe something like this for a 2.1 setup
