Home theatre connectivity for all devices

I have a Sony Bravia TV (KLV 40EX400), Sony DVD Home Theater System (DAV-DZ850KW), Sony PS4, Chromecast, and a DVR Unit that I want to connect together and get audio from the surround sound speakers. Can an expert guide me ? I have an HDMI switch too if that is of my use in the setup.

Your TV likely has an optical audio output and the HTS has optical input.
Connect all you source outputs to the TV (most with HDMI). You can use the HDMI switch if you need additional inputs on the TV.
If you want to record on the DVR that is more complicated. You would use the PS4 for disc playback as that is better than the DVD player in the HTS I think.
