Hovered over phishing link

Hello, I hovered over a phishing link on Twitter using Google Chrome and I was wondering if I could get a virus from it? I only hovered over it and didn't click. I ran Malwarebytes and Bitdefender and there was no virus or malware found. Is there still a possibility I could be infected?

Click? Pray to God nothing really bad came after the click

Actually, you can be infected from hovering over links. You won't get infected from hovering over a link on Twitter, but in emails and shady website you can still be infected if the author uses "onmouseover" in Javscript.
