How can I completely block a website so I can no longer access it???

Hello everyone,

I need to block a website so I can no longer access period.
I have tried the trivial things such as blacklisting it in my router and creating an openDNS account and adding the website name to exclusions AND tossing the password for openDNS so I could not remove the site.

But....tunnel bear ruined it all. I can easily browse from any other country and access the site once again.

I need a permanent fix. Does anyone have any ideas?

My friend if you use any VPN then it easily bypass your restriction.There is no way to block it

Add the website's URL into your HOSTS file, redirected to 127.0.0.1

Simply...just don't go there.
Or, add to your HOSTS file as above.

Can you elaborate on this a little more? What is a HOSTS file? Do I need special permissions to access it?

There are other ways too. If you are using Avast you can use site blocking in Web Shield to block specific sites. Info: https/support.avast.com/en-us/article/167/

Is your goal to prevent someone using the machine from accessing certain sites, e.g. a form of parental control?
