how can I get a sony Bravia tv KLV52S510/sc to work with a Phillips HTB5580/78 as the Sony does not have a HDMI ARC connection

I have the TV but intend to Buy the Phillips Home Theatre

It looks like that TV has an optical audio output port and that HTIB has an optical audio input port - i would use those.
