How can I hide my phone number from my skype contacts?

I need to hide my phone number from my Skype contacts while keeping it connected to Skype.
Edit:I plan to have people who would like to talk to some friends and I on there but don't want our phone numbers being public to any new person who joins our calls.

I sincerely hope it can't be done or we'll all start getting a new kind of mass-marketing Spam calls and messages through Skype.

Why would you wish to hide your number from your own contacts?
