I have a Pioneer vsx 2020, I'm getting full surround sound when playing any Bluyray, netflix etc, no problem, When I play a downloaded movie through my laptop I can play anything using the windows media player and again this comes through perfectly, however windows media player can't play DTS and I usually use VLC, but this is coming through in stereo only/. I've tried a couple of different media players, such as 5K player and the same thing is happening. Oddly, I never had this problem with my old laptop, and I have always used an older version of VLC player with no issues, I tried downloading the same version of VLC but this is still coming through in stereo. Has anyone had this problem?
