how do i bypass the rar files password

I am trying to get into one of my recently downloaded files and when it got done downloading then I opened it and when I tried to extract my file it said 'please enter the password for the file' and there was a file called PASSWORD and it gave me a link and it led to a survey site and I don't want to do any surveys because they never unlock. PLEASE HELP!!!

Wow. I guess both of you didnt read the ToS when you signed up. No matter the reason, no matter the device or file, no one here can help with bypassing a password for any reason. Might wanna go back over that part of the ToS.

From your description, this sounds like one of the companies that give you "free software", but to uncompress the files, you have to participate in surveys (this is how he makes his money - instead of you giving him money directly, you have to do the surveys). If you don't want to do the surveys, then get the software from somewhere else.

BTW - if it is the guy I am thinking of, you need to do at least 10 surveys and the password is 25 characters - that cracking software will take you about 3-4 weeks working non-stop before you might get the correct answer - and that is on a very fast machine....

Strike 1 - no password assistance. Period.

Strike 2 - a password on a downloaded rar file is usually a pirated game or movie.

The reason files are password protected is to restrict access to only those who are given the password. It is a way to protect privacy and ownership. Clearly you are no intended to have access to these files. Stop trying to take what is not yours to take. How would you feel if someone hacked your passwords and took money from your bank account or used your photos, documents and other items for their use? It is against theses forum rules to help with password recovery, hacking or any other attempt to bypass file and device security. A Mod should ban raerg and cclose this and the duplicate thread you started.
