When I HDMI from laptop to HDTV, the TV screen resolution is too big. The PC is set to 1333 by 65 (something like that). The TV seems to be at like 1920 by 30. There is an icon labeled HDMI on the HDMI that is resolution 1920 x 30. How can I change this. I don't see anywhere in the Smart TV settings to change it.

Solution
You have the tv set as a second display rather than as a mirrored screen.

This should be changeable under your display properties on laptop.

I do change it to other resolutions on the PC but no change. The TV still has the high resolution.
Also, the PC has a desktop pic of say, a river, but the TV shows something different, like a mountain. Could there be a 2nd monitor on the TV? When I click to open Google from the taskbar, nothing happens; app highlights to open but doesn't. Probably because resolution is too high.
