Ive got my hands on an Asus Xonar D2 sound card, But its not loud enough for my liking when using headphones.

It seems about almost half compared to my old creative X-FI gamer, if there's no way of doing this using the sound card.

I may consider using an headphone amplifier, But I don't know about audio in general and don't know if this would spoil the sound quality .

Here's an headphone amplifier on Ebay:

I don't want to spend money on a top of the line one, so if anyone could recommend one that would be great!!

Having a headphone amplifier does increases the sound level output no matter what... your sound card can manipulated the sound quality enough so even a lower cost of an amplifier would do much more, and tube amp sounds better in my opinion.
