I have a Motorola cable box. I have a Samsung 1080p 120hz TV. It's on the 120hz setting but my cable is playing in 60hz and same with everything else. how would you change that. my old cable box used to play in 120hz but this only does 60hz. please help!

thanks,

Solution
120Hz is tied to your screen's draw rate, not the sync rate of connected devices. As far as sync rates go, you get 75, 60 or 24 Hz. It is confusing, but US tv standards only allow for those two rates. Your panel may draw the fields at 120Hz, but you won't get a video product to produce a signal that fast.
