How do I get retrieve my contacts and pictures from my old Samsung phone that won't turn on and doesn't have an SD card?

My Samsung phone quit working. It has no SD card but I always backed everything up. I just got a new Samsung and I want my contacts and pictures. Please help!

You might get lucky if you connect the dead phone to a PC with a USB lead. Sometimes a unit which won't work can light up when connected and allow you to transfer the data across. If the battery will come out of the phone, remove it first.
