How do I hook my stereo to my blue ray palyer

I have an RCA stereo that I want to hook up to my Vizio blue ray player

You will have to provide model numbers for the two devices so we can see what ports are available on each device.

IF the stereo has an hdmi input and an hdmi output, you'd go blu-ray > stereo > TV. You cable box, game console, etc would also work the same.

You will need an HDMI audio extractor like this one

or you can take the audio from your TV. You may need a DAC like this one

if you TV doesn't have analog or headphone audio outputs. I would do it from the TV since then all audio from the TV will go through the stereo not just the BD player.
