How do I hook up a PS4 to a Vizio smart tv model number M550NV

I keep trying to hook up my PS4 to a VIZIO smart TV but whenever I try any of the HDMI ports it just comes up as "No Signal".Is there any way to hook up a VIZIO Smart TV to a PS4 is basically what I'm asking thank you.

Is the PS4 Powered Off before you make the connection?
