How do I play my own dvd movies on the computer?

I want to play my own dvd movies on my laptop. how do I accomplish this.

You put the dvd in the CD-rom drive. Then, if you have windows, you open up windows media player, which is the thing that plays music. Then you should hit the "now playing" button and select the name of the dvd. That should work, though thats really a problem you should check with a live person about. Its kinda hard to explain it without showing.
