How do I unlock encrypted file?

I have just received a document in my email from my freight broker. It comes in encrypted. Is there a way to unlock this doc.? very important

Contact whoever sent it. If it's encrypted the only other way is to run it through a password hacking program and wait. Depending on the encryption used, you can be waiting a few hundred years.
