It depends on the OS. For windows, you should have created a password rest disk.

When forgot windows password, always I will reset it with another administrator account.

What if you only have one administrator account and have forgot the password to it? That's why you need to make a password reset disk.

for windows i use only Offline NT Password Changer, go there and chk the steps on how to boot on USB and how to remove the pass.. its also available in Hiren's BootCD.

If you have another admin account, you can change to login Windows with it. And you can reset or change other accounts' password.
If not, try to look for password recovery software to reset password.
