How should i cut my .mpeg format video?

i have a home video,but part of it seems not so good,i want to cut about 5minutes.how should i do?please tell me the deatail.

Search for "video trim" and you'll find a lot software to do this. I have a recommendation which is freeware and very simple to use -as simple as three clicks. It's X2X Free Video Trim. It supports almost all the popular video formats, including MPEG

X2X is a nice program, but you probably need to add it only works specifically for Vista and Win7
