How to connect a sony BDP-S6500 to my Pavilion laptop

Trying to watch Blu-ray movies on my lap top. Bought a Sony BDP-S6500 with HDMI cord. Cant get it to come up on the computer. Have searched for new devices...nothing...anyone know how to do this??

I'm guessing your laptop has only hdmi out (not hdmi in) - blu-ray players want to be connected to tvs or projectors .... not laptops.

It would be wonderful if things can be hooked up any which way you wish to but what you want is not possible, as already mentioned. However, something like THIS will work.
