Hi! can anyone also help me?. I got an old receiver (philips fr931) that I need to connect to my TV (Sony 32r302b) which has HDMI-ARC port to it. I don't know much with electronics.

Solution
You don't need to use HDMI-ARC. Specs on your TV show is has a hybrid headphone audio out jack on the back. Set it to line output. You just need a cable with a 3.5mm stereo mini plug at the TV end and 2 RCA plugs at the receiver end. You can use the Video input (or any input other than phono) on the receiver.
If it doesn't have this output you can use audio extractor like this on that supports ARC
