how to connect my previous red and white cable sound bar to my lg 55uf6450

TV has optical audio out. If your soundbar only has analog audio in you need one of these

well my tv had the optical and the red and white but doesnt work .. or are you saying it has the optical port along with the red and white are optical as well??
