How to connect nvidia shield tablet to tv.

Hi, I had ordered the nvidia shield tablet which arrived a day ago. I want to connect it to my TV via hdmi but the tablet uses mini hdmi. I looked on amazon for an adapter and found lots of results but I wanted to make sure it would work before ordering. If I use a mini hdmi to hdmi adapter would the tablet connect to the TV?
