How to detect the security protocol used by a Galaxy Tab S2 when set as router

I'm trying to find out what security protocol does my Galaxy Tab S2 use when it is set as router.
Is it also changable?

Connection \ Router Wi-Fi - Tethering \ Router Wi-Fi

Any hint?

I am going to assume here that you are trying to set up the tablet as a hotspot that one or more devices can connect to the internet through it? Now this would only be needed if you are using data from a plan that you have on the tablet and want to say use that to access the internet on a laptop. If, however, you don't have a data plan that is for the tablet, then there is nothing for any other devices to connect to. If it is internet you are trying to access, you would just need to connect the other device directly to the WiFi (which would have its own modem/router) that your tablet uses.

If there is something else going on here, then please clarify.

your first assumption is correct.
I've set my tablet as hotspot, it has a data plan, and I'm trying to connect a laptop to internet through it.

Gotcha. Well then as long as it is working on the tablet and the tablet can access the internet (the data is working) then try the following...

1. Go into "Settings" and in the "Wireless & networks" section tap "More".
2. Now tap "Tethering & portable hotspot".
3. For "Wireless Tethering" tap "Set up Wi-Fi hotspot"
4. On this new screen you will see options for a "Network Name", "Security", "Password" and "Network Band". You can change them or keep them as is. It is really up to you.
5. Now you would just need to search for the hotspot by name using the second device.

NOTE: While a Wi-Fi hotspot feature is built into Android, some service providers/carriers, especially in the United States, hide it. You would then need to see if you can locate an app that you can install to help with this.
