How to Factory Reset

Have a pavilion dv6 laptop that has been stuck on Diagsing your PC for two days now. When it completes it says it failed and starts all over again so I'm trying to get it to the blue screen if possible so we can just start it all over everything is backed up on a hard drive all ready. So were not worried about loosing anything. It is an HP also our warrenty expired or else I'd call and ask them!!!

Your laptop manual should explain the procedure to do a factory reset. On my old DV6, I had to tab ESC (or maybe it was F11) at boot to get to the menu for that and other options. Yours may be different.

If you don't have any luck with this, you may need to purchase another copy of Windows and do a clean install.

We got this computer from Aarons NVR received manual with it won't go passed system reboot please help
