Question How to fix headphone audio bleeding into mic

Since I’ve ever put this custom pc together I’ve always had this issue where the headset audio will be heard on the mic. This happens with every port whether it’s USB, Line in, speaker port on front and back of pc. Also happens when using an external DAC still. Issue only goes away when using wireless headset or the mic has its own wire with no splitter for the mic and headset combo. I have tinkered with every which driver possible. I’ve used the Realtek driver for my motherboard msi b550 gaming plus and it didn’t change anything. Could this be a hardware issue at this point?
