Pop-ups are a big turn off. Let’s face it. We are constantly bombarded with pop-ups which we need to manually close again and again… and again. Even Netflix has them! Keeping in mind that everybody has a pinch of laziness in them, we don’t adore manually closing down every pop-up whenever it pops up! So how to wave them goodbye? We have several extensions and software that can help us to get rid of Netflix pop-ups on Mac.
Step 1
Search for ‘Malwarebytes’
Open ‘Safari’ or any browser which you use for your Mac and search for ‘Malwarebytes Mac’.
Step 2
Download and Install Malwarebytes
After you reach the main website of Malwarebytes, 'download' the app into your system.
Step 3
Open 'Malwarebytes'
Open it from the 'download section' of the browser.
Step 4
Drag and drop
After you open the downloaded file, just drag ‘Malwarebytes Anti-Malware’ and drop it on ‘Applications.’ Doing this will copy the software into your Applications. Now double click on ‘Malwarebytes Anti-Malware’ and open it.
Step 5
Scan for Malwares
Once this software is launched, click on ‘Scan’ to scan for malware and corrupted files which will hamper the system. After scanning, select all the malware listed in front of you.
Step 6
Remove the Selected items
And now click ‘Remove selected items’ to remove these malware from your system.
Step 7
Go to ‘System Preferences’
After removing all the malware, go to 'System preferences' on the top left by clicking your eternal favorite 'Apple' icon.
Step 8
Click on ‘Users & Groups’
In System Preferences, click on ‘Users & Groups’.
Step 9
When you click on the 'Users and groups' it will take you to the next step for removing any app in ‘Login items’ that will automatically launch when you log into your systems.
Step 10
You can mark them and click the 'minus (-)' sign. Also, do make sure that you remove any add-ons you have in other browsers as well. Now, 'restart' the device.
After restarting, no pop-up will hit you straight when you go to a website and can enjoy using Netflix on your MacBook.
