how to get sound driver for toshiba satellite windows 7 32bit

my toshiba satellite laptop has been upgraded from xp to windows 7. however, the sound is not functioining. how do i get the sound driver?

If Toshiba does not have a Windows 7 driver for it on their site, you'll have to figure out which audio chip you have, then visit the site of the audio chip manufacturer to obtain the driver. If they don't have one that works with your laptop, you may have to resort to a USB sound card or USB speakers.
