DVD has usb in front red blue green and hdmi. Same on cable box TV has red blue green only

The TV doesn't have HDMI so you can't use that. The USB in the DVD is also useless in this case.
You have two sources with component video (RGB RCA) and audio (RW RCA) outputs and a TV with one component video audio input. To connect both you will need a component video audio input selector
