How to hook up my 2.1 speakers with an amplifier

Hello,
I am a newbie here and i am setting up a home theater system. So far i have a Benq W1070 projector and i am using 2 50 Watt Dual Cone 8” speakers which are connected with Ahuja's DPA-770 amplifier. I want to connect my old Edifier X 600 2.1 Speaker with this amplifier. The 2.1 speakers have a 6 1/2 inch subwoofer with great bass. I was hoping if there was a way i could hook this system to the amp and use the whole setup as a 4.1.

Hey the satellites work great. All thanks to you. Just opened up the sub and am a little confused which wire goes from the amp. there are three here!

red = possitive and black= negative (you just get the positive and negative cables and connect to the amp althogh the amp may not be powerful enough as it was designed to power 2.1 not 4.1 although it should work fine upload images of the connections on the amp and your sub/speaker you want to add

Just updated with the pictures...
I want to hook up the edifier 2.1 speaker with the amp, these speakers are desktop speakers so don't have positive or negative cables.
My aim is to connect the subwoofer and satellites to the amp ( which is already connected with two speakers) and use the whole setup as one system.
Please guide!

theres a problem , you have an edifier 2.1 sound system (it has an amplifier built into it, if this amplifyer into the other amplyfier it will blow up the only other way is completly disconnect the edifier sub from the amp so do this at your own risk (because to do this you have to open it and i dont know what level of noob you are). but here are the steps anyway.


STEP 1: take out the plug of the socket (edifier) .

Step 2: you see in your image there are 6 screws at the back of the edifier (the place with ports and knobs).take these 6 screws out

Step 3 cut the cables out of the amp so you are left with only the subwoofers possitive and negative (like a car sub box it will only have the possitive and negative cable ,by the way you could just not use this sub and buy a car sub and box )

Step 4: ok now connect the possitive and negative sub cables to your amp easy. this has your subwoofer connected

Step 5: now to connect the two speakers they have RCA ends (if you do not know what this is i will provide a picture link bellow .

ok you will cut these ends but dont cut the whole cable you want to see the cables there will be two in one cable

see in the image it has the RCA end and the other end is cut leading to two cables possitive and negative ok you have yours like this apart from these two cables will come off your speakers.

so from that image you can see the one speaker has a possitive and negative then simply connect to amp and play music from your amp.

oh yea do this at your own risk im not responsible if you mess it up or have no experiance

also when you cut the cables for the rca and sub dont forget to cover the cables with electric tape because if you have the possitive and negative touching it will make a wierd noise
