How to make a eGPU

Hey fellow people,

i would like to make an eGPU set up with my laptop. I have chosen the devices but need to confirm if they will work. thank you.

Laptop: MacBook Pro 15" 2015 Retina

Added a charger to what? That is just some OEM cable, it serves no purpose to anyone.
You cant fix it.

There are a few generic eGPU solutions around. But basically, what they do is turn a portable laptop into a badly performing, expensive, desktop.

Today? None of them. We have whole new lines coming out from AMD and NVidia.
Also, that can't be answered in isolation. What is the rest of the system that would go in?

There's info about using the power brick with the akitio but I'm guessing op didn't read it all. There was also modding an adapter to use it. But forget it, it's too much modding for someone who doesn't know what they are doing. It's still not a good value when you can sell the laptop and use the money you'd spend on the adapter for a better performing pc. But the easiest way to use the akitio is with an external psu with a powered rise or barrel adapter.

I have a budget of 350-400 AUD
