How to tell if your computer supports mSATA?

Is there anyway to tell if a computer supports mSATA. I was thinking about adding a Intel 310 SSD, which is mini PCI-Express for laptops but it uses mSATA. My laptop is a Dell Studio 1555, it has two mini PCE-Express slots free. I wank to keep my mechanical HDD for storage but have a SSD for OS and a few applications.

MSATA is NOT Mini-PCIE. Sorry, you need a MSATA connector to use msata drives. The only laptops that currently have msata (that I know of) are the Dell 4200/6400/6500 and a handful of Lenovo laptops y460/y560/y470/y570/e220/e420/k26.

Mini-pcie ssd drives are available, but don't offer performance increases over platter-based hard drives.
