What I want to do is use my LCD Monitor BenQ RL2455HM as speakers from my PC.
Example if I turn on a film on my PC I want the sound coming out of my monitor speakers not my headphones.
The sound works perfectly when I am connecting my PS3 through HDMI to my PC.
I just want the sound coming out of the Monitors Speakers.

Solution
just to add some monitors with speakers are not wired to any ports but there 3.5mm rca port so even with dvi or hdmi you may still need a stand alone 3.5mm cable ??

why I say should be covered in the monitors manual on its speaker use

This will be hard to explain.

When I bought my monitor it came with a white one and a blue one. I guess blue one is DVI and white one is VGI or something. I connect both of them

vga /d-sub don't carry sound you need a sound cable along with it

some have it built in to the vga cable with a added 3.5 rca jack you plug in to the motherboard audio and the monitor audio ports

using DVi you may set that in windows sound / playback devices

of like me I use a DVi-i /vid card to hdmi/ monitor and if I need to use the monitor speakers I change the default from the speaker [with check mark showing that my sound device used ] to the monitor one that shows ready . then my sound is through the monitor speakers instead of the pc speakers

your monitors manual should cover that and how to or whats required to do so

okay (assuming windows 10 if not let me know)

if you video card has HDMI, DVI(White connector) and VGA (blue connector)

1.remove all except HDMI. you only need 1 source of signal from video card to monitor and HDSMI is all you need.
1a. reboot computer your video card should find only a signal to HDMI and image now should show.
2. speaker icon on toolbar near clock, right click on it and select "playback devices", then select your monitor hdmi as your default.

enjoy
