How would i go about getting my 5.1 surround sound setup working with my PC?

I recently bought HK16 surround sound speakers and it turns out they use AV cables. Would i have to buy an AV reciever? if so how would i go about setting that up with my PC?

Never heard of AV cables. Is like you telling us rubber tires.

For any kind of useful response, please provide exact brand model of speaker, a link to the manual would be most helpful, and tell us what kind of connections you are in the back of PC. If don't want to think, just post pictures.

you have to buy an adapter that goes to the normal 3.5mm audio jack like 3 av to one normal audio jack
