Recently purchased new HP Mini 110-3000CA with 1GB RAM. Want to upgrade to 2GB RAM however no RAM cover on bottom of netbook, just smooth base. HP website indicates may be under keyboard. any idea how to remove keyboard and access RAM

Hi,

Thanks but this is the older model(latest version no longer has the ram card plastic door on the bottom of the netbook). Ie the bottom of netbook is sealed and continuous except for 4 rubber feet. So I am still stuck as to how to access RAM or at least remove keyboard so I can see if Ram is under keyboard

Okay found answer. Remove battery pack and slide orange tab and pry off bottom case, then remove small metal cover(2 screws) to access RAM chip. Similar to HP mini 210 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISIBCLS9MuM&feature=related but even simpler..

don t touch the keyboard... l m french ok, xcuse my english, but you have to remove the batterie (disconnect before), take out the down cover, here is the trap, 2 screw, press the pads and Hop ! replace by 2gb ram(2048mb), i by a HP mini 110-3053, 250gb+1024mb, and replace by 2048mb. computer recognize 2gb of memory ram. But i really not do the difference.
