HP Pavilion DV2 Notebook PC Bios Update - Please Help

Hello everyone,

I have HP Pavilion DV2 Notebook PC I want to update bios, every time I try to update HP Pavilion DV2 Notebook PC Bios when installation process complete 10 second restart countdown start after completion of countdown then computer shutdown and nothing happen everything is normal as before, instead of restart and successful Bios update. I've tried to update Bios in both Windows 7 and Windows Vista but it doesn't work.

Please help me to successfully update Bios of my HP Pavilion DV2 Notebook PC

Are you sure that the BIOS even needs to be updated? If it doesn't, or you are already using the newest one that this particular computer will accept, then it may well be rejecting the update you are trying to install.

Yes I know my that Bios of my system needs to be updated, currently bios installed on 2009 and latest version released 2016

I see. Have you tried getting the BIOS update directly from the HP website? I know they have them there and it would be the correct one for your system.

If you enter the full product number and the words BIOS update in the search on the HP support website... http://support.hp.com ... it should take you to a page where you can get that update plus any other updates you may need.
