Hp presario cq57 major help needed

Ok guys were to start, i obtained the named laptop:
on first start up it said: and turns off after a fe seonds.

and unable to press enter, but on ,next boot that error doesnt show, unless i hard reset, but if i rebbot again i get in bottom corner press esc to enter boot options. dont seeany load screenon boot up.

i have to keep pressing esc on start up to get into those options, but unable to complete any tests as keep shutting off?

is anybody please able to help

is your time & date correct as that is controlled by the cmos?

try this if you haven't already. remove the laptop main battery, disconnect the power adapter, hold the power button down for a 20 count, reinstall main battery, reconnect power adapter & turn on laptop.

Replace the CMOS battery in the laptop. If system keeps shutting off after that, looks like a motherboard issue. You can try running on one RAM stick at a time or with different RAM but that is not likely to help you. Probably needs to replace the motherboard.
