HTC Desire 816 or Alcatel OT Idol x 6040D

Hello! I can't decide which device i should buy. I'm confused between these 2; Desire 816 & Idol x.
Things that i care about the most are Primary and Front camera, good looking, less problems and higher performance.
What i like in Idol x : 441 PPI / 1080p res / more features / it's $70 cheaper than HTC.
What i don't like : I'm not sure about Alcatel's quality and i don't know much about the battery.

What i like in Desire 816 : It's HTC / 5MP front cam / 4.4.2 KitKat / CMOS BSI Sensor.
What i don't like : Less RAM than 6040d / Less PPI & res.

So give me your opinions,

While Alcatel is a good brand, I would have to say the HTC Desire 816. Even here in the United States people are talking about that phone and how it is a great phone for it's price.

The software experience will be far better and likely the screen will look better overall, even with less PPI.

All around, the HTC is just a safer and better option.
