Hyperx Cloud 2 surround sound playing on both sides.

I can't tell the difference between the right, right surround, and right rear surround.. when I have the 7.1 button in the center of controller turned on, these sounds just get played on both sides instead of one... same thing for left side
I just cant find the anwswer so i am asking here

What did you think would happen? The system is trying to replicate 7 point audio in two, so it needs to play the same sound, with modifications, on both sides

But when im playing csgo i can barely tell where the enemy is, when i had razer kraken pro 7.1 it was much better

The Cloud 2 is fake 7.1. It just stereo with a EQ. so its really just Stereo with a echo lol.

So basically using 7.1 option is useless

Short answer...yes. Long answer is kinda unless you like the "surround" EQ. I personal hate it because it not accurate and cannot really tell if the object is in front of me or behind. Messes with my head more than it benefits.

I unplugged the USB and directly plug it into my sound card when I can. It sounds better in stereo vs the USB adapter stereo.
