I can't get images, only sound, from cable tv but no problems with gaming console

Using HDMI cables, I have recently had problems getting images from cable tv with sound. When switching HDMI ports with my gaming console I'm able to get both images and sound. Please help.

1. Reboot the cable box.
2. Try a different HDMI cable.
3. Call you cable provider. They can usually check the box remotely and will replace it if needed. It's their box; you only rent it.
