I get a blue screen when i put a cd in my toshiba laptop

Hello,
i have a toshiba satellite 675 laptop and when i put a cd in the drive it comes up with the blue screen. my computer see the driver under my computer but evertime i try to install it never works. it has done it sence day 1. now it is out of warrenty.

yeah, driver issues. love em. have you tried reinstalling windows / looked into running linux? i kinda think your hal may have issues. a reinstall will solve this, or course as long as the cd drive itself isnt malfunctioning.
