I hate the stretch modes! It seems to want to be stretching everything, I want to just have it how the station is broadcasti

How do I stop my TV from stretching everything - and without adjusting everytime I change the cable channel?

You have to adjust both how the cable box and TV adjust the aspect ratio. Each has menus to adjust this and they can combine to drive you crazy. Set each to not make any changes to the native aspect ratio and you should be good.
