I have a pioneer sc71 reciever 7.2 and I want to connect a third subwoofer. I tried to use a y- adapter but it cuts the power. How can I add a third subwoofer to my system?
You would need something like this: http/www.rdlnet.com/product.php?page=36
if the Y connector doesn't work. It usually does work. If the output to the sub drops you can just turn the level of the sub up. You can also try using the y connector at the back of the sub rather than at the receiver.

So will a external amplifier work ? Will that connect to my reciever and provide inputs for an additional subwoofer? My reciever does have pre amp inputs.
