I have a chromebook but looking into getting a laptop.

I bought a cheap 170$ chromebook (Asus C201) and I absolutely hate it. It just doesn't do what I want it to. So I'm looking into a laptop thats mainly for skype and streaming HD video. I'm in Canada. I was not sure if I should bother getting a refurbished one as it is usually hit and miss and I want something with a good battery. I was looking at HP Stream and Dell Inspiron. Don't need something too powerful. Budget preferably up to 400$. Any suggestions?? Will I be ok with the hp stream or dell inspiron for skype and netflix sort of thing? Those laptops only have 2gb of ram which kind of made me wonder if they would be able to handle that use, as i've read online its safe to get 4gb ram but money is tight.

2 gigs is not even enough to run windows 10 itself nicely. Not even talking about Youtube. Get something like i3 and 4 gigs RAM.

HP Stream is pretty much a Chromebook.

If you want to use Skype and videos watching, get a tablet. Cheaper, better battery life, easier to use. Used iPad 3rd or 4th gen is about $250, or a Asus something or other, Google Nexus.
