iMac music CD burn failure

Won't play on home stereo CD player or car CD player. Doesn't matter if the source music is MP3 or AIFF-C audio. Doesn't matter what speed I burn at. Have tried burning to Imation CD-R and Memorex CD-R music CDs. I even bought an LG DVD Writer thinking my iMac burner was shot and the results are the same.

Does your CD player play compressed files? Did you select "Audio CD" in iTunes?
