I have put my memory card back in my Galaxy A5 phone and although alll my contacts came straight up I can't seem to access any

How do I get the photos off my sd card once it's back in my galaxy A5 phone , the files are there but I can't open them ? Can anyone help please ??

It is going to depend on a few things like why was the card taken out? What other device accessed the card? Was the card converted to "Internal" storage or just left as normal "External" storage?
