There are no tweaks in there that can help you, just a very complicated set
of adjustable parameters that are set at the factory to give you a good
picture and are optimized for your individual set (This is why "default"
parameters will not give you the best results.), there is nothing in here
that can be "tweaked" to improve your TV, only tons of stuff that will allow
you to ruin your TV.

factory defaults are just that, defaults. you can change them in the settings menu to suit your individual taste without damaging the lcd panel at all.

i'm not sure why you would even think to suggest that such things would ruin a television.

changing brightness, vibrancy, contrast, sharpness, other settings can have a very noticible effect on perceived "quality" but you are right in one regard: you are still constrained to the limits of the hardware. for example you cannot make a 720p tv look like a 1080p one.

while i agree some of the options to adjust a tv may seem complicated, with a little research into what the terminology meants it isn't all that hard to understand. even if you don't understand all of it you can still adjust the televison using the ones you understand.
