I need help with my busted laptop that is connected to the tv. I wanna do a factory reset, but I'm not sure if it will go well

Hey, my laptop screen is broken and connected to a Grundig Vivance tv via HDMI. I want to reset the computer to factory default settings because of all the malware shit I have on it, but I'm not sure if my laptop will automatically connect to the tv. Help?

when u first turn on you laptop can you get into the bios screen and see it on tv. if so then you are safe. the tv display is being detected at the bios lvl.

if you have to wait for windows to boot then you may not be safe as its requiring a windows driver to display to the tv.
