I recently purchased a focusrite scarlett 2i2 2nd gen interface, and i need to connect it to speakers with a 3.5mm jack because i dont have the budget for studio monitors at the moment.

My audio interface has left and right 1/4" outputs.

I thought I could use a 3.5mm to RCA converter, and then connect the outputs with a 1/4" to RCA.

The problem I have is that I do not know which type of 1/4" cable to use. Do I need TS, TSR, or speaker cables?

P.S. If i need speaker cables, are there any speaker to RCA adapters available? Please link the product to me via amazon.

Solution
If the speakers are passive then you will need an amp as well as the cables below. You would also need speaker wire from the amp to the speakers. I would change the RCA jacks on the speakers to a terminal strip but you could solder RCA plugs on the speaker wire or cut an interconnect cable and splice the cable onto the speaker wire.
If the speakers are self powered then TS for each speaker since the line outs don't seem to be balanced. It would be 2 conductor interconnect cable. You should be able to find cables with a 1/4 phone plug at one end and an RCA at the other but there are adapters too.
