I want to buy a new gaming laptop around $1200

I have decided to buy an Alienware 15 - The one with 8gb ram , i5 processor , gtx 965m 2gb ddr5
Price $1199
or a lenovo y50 - the one with 16gb ram , GTX 960M 4GB , Intel Core i7-4720HQ Processor
Price $1149
Can you guys help me in choosing one of these?
Also what is the difference between i5 and an i7 in terms of gaming ?
Is the alienware very well optimised or should i go for a y50?
All suggestions are welcome.

No this time they changed the display. Made it a lot better.

Good to see they've fixed that issue! Makes deciding more difficult, though, LOL.

FWIW, the GPU in the Alienware looks to be significantly better than the one in the Lenovo, at least according to gpu boss:

Personally, I'd go for the Alienware, but I'd also up the gpu to the 970m for about 85 bucks more. It is well worth the price as it gives you almost a 40% performance boost over the 965m.

It looks like a beast....but I am still looking for reviews and stuff....I haven't seen any negative review so far...but I am still looking at it...as it is alot of $ for me to spend all at one...but let me know what you think...I also lie Y50 alot...but for the same price the asus is alot better...
